Stepping into this restaurant is like stepping back in time. Nothing has changed since the 1990s. Even the prices are still the same (or at least very close). Heck even the take-out menu is literally exactly the same, recognizable by the fact that the printed phone number predates Toronto's 10-digit dialing.
As for the food, I honestly have no complaints. It's not gourmet level food, but it's well worth the price and bottom line is it tastes good. Exactly what you'd expect from a small family run business like this. The Day Specials at $3.99 are the best deal. I particularly like the BBQ Pork Fried Rice.
So if you're in the mood for some good cheap Chinese food, I highly recommend this place. -

This place is right next to the fancy, fancy Piano Piano. But this one lace is far more dingy and depressing. It looks like a typical dingy Chinese restaurant but in worse condition.
I ordered the beef with veggie on rice. The rice was the best part of the meal. The rice was unremarkable but at least it wasn't terrible. The sauce with beef and veggies was so thick and gross that made it very unappetizing. The beef was tough and not flavourful. It had this weird gamey taste and too much garlic as well. And the veggies were not too bad, but hard. And the portions were very small but I can't complain because the prices are super cheap.
Overall, I would never come here. And I would only get people I hate to come here. -

Really friendly staff. The food tastes really good and it is student budget-friendly.

Great amount of food at super affordable price however the taste is mediocre and they only toss 3-4 pieces of relatively small in size of meat

Old school (but clean) restaurant run by an exceptionally kind elderly couple that serves decent Cantonese food near UofT. The hot & sour soup is authentic and BBQ pork is great considering most meals are under $5 here.
